ALUNA is made by and with the KOGI, a genuine lost civilisation hidden on an isolated triangular pyramid mountain in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Colombia, nearly five miles high, on the Colombian-Caribbean coast. The Kogi say that without thought, nothing could exist. This is a problem, because we are not just plundering the world, we are dumbing it down, destroying both the physical structure and the thought underpinning existence. The Kogi believe that they live in order to care for the world and keep its natural order functioning, but they recognized some years ago that this task was being made impossible by our mining and deforestation. In 1990 they emerged to work with Alan Ereira, making a 90-minute film for BBC1 in which they dramatically warned of our need to change course. Then they withdrew again… www.alunathemovie.com Following the Aluna movie, derived from the Kogi’s message for the world, a campaign has now been launched - Black Line Initiative "The Black Line Initiative is a groundbreaking project initiated by the Kogi of Colombia and supported by the Tairona Heritage Trust. It is based on the Kogi concept of black lines –invisible threads of primordial thought and lifeforce that criss-cross the planet to form a connected network. For the Kogi, nature is a living organism, structured by these black lines and so the effect of actions is transmitted from one place to others. The Kogi want to help us take care of nature by making use of the black lines. Read moreTogether we can make a difference and stop the degradation of our planet. What comes next is up to you. Join us for a remarkable journey!" aluna movie
